A midweek rainband is expected over Cyprus as Greece braces for stormy weather.
A low pressure system is affecting Cyprus, with humidity levels dropping noticeably while chances go up for strong winds and widespread rain later in the week.
Tuesday skies will be mostly clear in the early part of the day with increasing clouds expected to appear around noon and in the afternoon along with strong winds over local areas on the southern coast.
Maximum highs are expected to reach 37° Celsius inland, around 30 on the western coast, 32 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 27 up in the mountains. Humidity is expected close to 50%, ranging from 40% to 60% between the north to south and east to west corridors.
Evening weather is expected to remain mostly clear, with low cloud formations and possibly thin fog accumulation later on. Minimum lows will drop to 21 degrees inland, around 22 along the coast, while it will be around 15 in the mountains.

Wednesday skies will be mostly clear while increasing clouds will appear in the afternoon with chances of local showers and storms over the mountains and possibly inland. In the evening, showers and thunderstorms are also expected in the north and out west.
Weather officials also said poor weather conditions in Greece and southern Italy could push low pressure systems further into the area, while no direct impact is expected over the island. The weather system dubbed ”Antinoos” is expected to hit Greece with hail and very strong winds.
Thursday weather will remain mostly clear throughout the day with chances of local morning showers mainly in the north and out west. As clouds persist, more rain could be expected in the afternoon including possible storms over the mountains, inland, and possibly along the southern or southeastern coast.
Friday skies will be mostly clear with increasing clouds around noon and in the afternoon. Temperatures are also expected to go up slightly just before the weekend until they reach close to normal averages for this time of the year.
